The Circulatory System
Overview
This diagram gives a very nice overview of the flow of blood through the body.

Here are some things you need to know to make sense of the picture:
- The color blue represents blood that is carrying CO2 from the body's cells to the lungs.
- The color red represents blood that is carrying O2 from the lungs to the body's cells.
- In both cases, it is the action of the heart that provides the power for the transport.
